As the nation’s first and only tourism attraction dedicated to the artisanal distilling movement, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour® brings visitors from around the world to explore homegrown, intimate experiences surrounding the Commonwealth’s best boutique spirits.
After growing from seven member distilleries to 19, they knew it was time for a brand overhaul to better help visitors map out their distillery excursions. So they turned to Onefold to help visitors craft a more memorable journey, every step of the way.
REBRANDING THE ULTIMATE CRAFT BOURBON ADVENTURE
Teaming up with Balance Creative, we set out to reimagine the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour® visitor experience from a marketing perspective. Our goal was to make it easier for guests to navigate all 20 distilleries, while making a lasting impression through an authentic bourbon culture aesthetic applied across all marketing collateral.
A 70-page passport was designed featuring stunning photography, helpful itineraries, craft cocktail recipes, logos for each region, clear iconography, events and more. From a website refresh to social media ads, we helped create a seamless user experience at every level with a focus on visibility, functionality and clear messaging.
To inspire true Bourbon lovers to explore all 19 distilleries across four unique regions, we also helped create a gift to remember. This includes uniquely crafted challenge coins, a custom-designed barrel stave and KBT® tasting glass engineered by Kentucky’s legendary Master Distillers.
The result? A 2019 Kentucky Travel Industry Association (KTIA) Traverse Award, an increase in website traffic and social media fans, and most importantly, more visitors enjoying Kentucky Bourbon than ever.
