Jefferson County Public Schools

Challenging Students to Consider All the Facts

Background

SHEDDING LIGHT ON SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES

With millions of middle- and high school-age youth using e-cigarettes, vaping has reached epidemic status. The consequences of vaping are more serious than people may know, putting an entirely new generation at risk of nicotine addiction and major health problems. That’s why Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), a smoke-free public school district, decided to take a stand and make the dangerous realities of vaping be known.

So they called on Onefold to help create al campaign that would bring families, educators and students together to end the habit.

Execution

WHERE THERE’S TRUTH, THERE’S POWER.

To reach students, families and the community as a whole, we knew the campaign had to be honest. It had to be fact-based. It had to be compelling. And it had to make an impact. We landed on the name “Vaping Equals” to help people make the connection between the grim—and often ignored—health consequences of using e-cigarettes. Stats, facts and figures are what would back up the entire concept to increase awareness, and ultimately, help students make the decision to drop the habit.

A dramatic color palette, fearless messaging and clean logo built a solid foundation for the campaign, which we hope will leave a lasting impression on students and families for years to come.
