The Academies of Louisville

Reimagining High School in Louisville

BACKGROUND

BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN EDUCATION AND BUSINESS

When the Academies of Louisville launched in 2017, they set out to change the face of public high school in Louisville. By connecting what students are learning in the classroom to real world careers and experiences, Academies equip high schoolers with the 21st century skills needed to thrive both now and in the future.

With 15 Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) high schools participating, the Academies of Louisville needed a brand that would inform, excite and inspire businesses, educators, students and the community to join the movement.

EXECUTION

BRANDING THE ACADEMIES

From day one, we knew working with the Academies of Louisville was an opportunity to participate in something bigger than just a brand. It was the chance to get the community excited about education in a major way.

Bright colors, big picture statements and a unified message set the tone across all marketing collateral from brochures to pamphlets, school signage and more. Our goal was to create a brand that balances the excitement of high school with the promise and potential of careers, college and life after graduation. Business partnerships are a key driver of the initiative, so we also made sure the aesthetic and messaging was polished, professional and future-forward.
