BUILDING MORE THAN APPLIANCES
GE Appliances is on a mission to build not just the world’s best appliances, but to make a difference in the world through their people, their products and their communities.
As the fastest-growing appliance manufacturer in the U.S., GEA is powered by people who share a powerful purpose. While their commitment to be a force for good has always been at the heart of their business, they had never formally captured their citizenship story.
To shine a light on all the good things that have been underway and share them with the world, GEA asked Onefold to create a corporate citizenship brand identity, as well as their first-ever citizenship report.
FROM CONCEPT TO FRUITION
Each of GEA’s five pillars of citizenship plays a unique role in shaping the way they think, create and evolve as a business. To highlight the unique purpose of each pillar, we developed a simple, modern icon system that’s enhanced by bright, cheerful colors.
While powerful on their own, the pillar icons were designed to co-exist and bring harmony to GEA’s vision for a more connected, creative world. Together, the icons form a cohesive circular logo that brings their citizenship efforts into bold and vibrant focus.
With a dynamic visual identity in place, we then set out to create the first corporate citizenship report in GEA’s more than 100-year history. From concept to fruition, a year-long creative process and all-hands-on-deck collaborative spirit was required to bring this major company milestone to life in January 2021.
New photography, empowered messaging and clean, modern design were incorporated to reflect GEA’s long-held passion for citizenship. Digital and print versions were created, each with thoughtful elements designed to enhance user experience.
